The center bearing the arms of Penn, for Thomas Penn of Buckinghamshire, the second son of William Penn, the Quaker founder of the colony of Pennsylvania Together with two circular gummed labels, one foil label reading "ELINOR GORDON / Chinese Export Porcelain Villanova, P.A."; the other, paper "Polly / 4755 / Latham".
